The final spring Flin Flon luncheon was held on Friday, May 3, at Winnipeg's Ramada Viscount Gort Hotel. Eighty guests (10 more than we expected) joined us in the Viscount Room on the second floor. The catering department was prepared for more than the requested number and we all enjoyed a spectacular roast beef dinner, which included hot vegetables, perogies and several salads. As always we were treated to a platter of fresh fruit as well as dainties. A number of first-time guests were welcomed. They were Randy Petrychko (Flin Flon); Dan and Donalda Hamilton (Dauphin); Margie Fey (Carmen); Helen Rutherford (nee (Javorsky) (Providence, RI); Bev Struch (Winnipeg); and Don and Diane Carruthers, (Winnipeg). Back after a couple of years was Cal Hammond and visiting from Flin Flon were Doreen Murray and Liz Radnisky.
