The Reminder, along with the Canadian Press and other media outlets, projects that NDP incumbent Niki Ashton will once again win reelection to represent northern Manitoba in Parliament.

With 95 of 157 polls reporting at 11 p.m. Flin Flon time, Ashton has secured 3,823 votes in the election for Churchill-Keewatinook Aski, good enough for 39 per cent of the ballot and over 1,000 more votes than second place candidate Charlotte Larocque, who has 29 per cent of the ballot. Third place candidate Shirley Robinson, the Liberal nominee, sits at 23 per cent of the vote - 2,229 votes in total.

Ashton was first elected to represent the region in the House of Commons in 2008, winning reelection in 2011, 2015, 2019 and now in 2021.

Nationally, the Liberal party is projected by several media outlets - including The Reminder and the Canadian Press - to have won a minority government. The party is currently slated to walk away with 154 seats nationally, a one-seat decrease from before the election.

In northern Saskatchewan, a fellow incumbent - Conservative candidate Gary Vidal - has also won reelection, receiving over half of the available votes in the riding of Desnethé–Missinippi–Churchill River.
