A country music star with Flin Flon connections will come home for one night of shows in May.

George Canyon will play at the RH Channing Auditorium, along with country stalwart Charlie Major and Manny Blu, on May 16. The show is part of Canyon's Hit After Hit tour, which is scheduled to run across western Canada and Ontario from April to late May.

A two-time Juno Award winner with a number of Canadian Country Music Association Awards and nominations under his belt, Canyon has released nine studio albums and has just released an EP. Originally from Nova Scotia, Canyon has etched out a solid place for himself in Canadian country music. In 1994, Canyon married his wife, Jennifer, who is originally from the Flin Flon area. Canyon has played shows in Flin Flon before, most recently in 2015 in a worship-style concert at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church.

Charlie Major has been a key cog in the Canadian country industry since the 1980s. The proud owner of three Juno Awards and five Canadian Country Music Association Awards, Major has released seven studio albums and more than 30 singles.

Tickets for the show are available on eventbrite.ca and etixnow.com.
