The Flin Flon Bombers have a lot of work to do in the offseason. The Canadian Junior 'A' Hockey League has released their final standings for the 2004/05 season, and the Bombers are close to the bottom. Out of 138 Junior 'A' teams across Canada, the Bombers finished in 128th place, based on winning percentage. The Bombers finished the year with a record of 10 wins, 36 losses and nine ties, good for 29 points and a winning percentage of .264. The top team after the regular season was the Fort William North Stars of the SIJHL, who finished with a record of 42-2-4 and a win percentage of .917. The top team in the SJHL was the Estevan Bruins, who finished in 23rd spot with a win percentage of .682 and a record of 34-14-7. At the very bottom of the pack were the Ajax Axemen of the OPJHL. They had a record of 2-44-3 for seven points and a record of .071. Another notable team on the list is the Weyburn Red Wings, who will host the Royal Bank Cup in May. They finished in 105th spot with a record of 18-27-10 and a win percentage of .418. Although they did make the playoffs due to the SJHL's lax entry requirements, they were eliminated in the first round and are currently waiting to see who will be joining them at the Junior 'A' Championships. The job of righting the ship for the Flin Flon Bombers will begin next Wednesday at their Annual General Meeting.
