Chad Haacke netted the winner for Melville on Thursday at 16:42 of the third period to give the Millionaires a 4-3 win. In game three on Friday, Ashley Todd scored twice for Melville, as the Millionaires edged the Terriers 3-2. Jordan Hack had the other goal for the Mills', while Mitch Stephens and Josh Cudmore replied for the Terriers. Melville out shot Yorkton 41-31, and both teams scored power-play goal. Also on Friday, the Humboldt Broncos jumped ahead 3-0 in their series with the Battlefords' North Star, beating them 3-2. Craig Olynick, Orrin Hergott and Jeremy McKibbon scored for Humboldt. Brock Harrison and Trevor Bayda each had their first goals of the playoffs for the North Stars, both on the power play. In the MJHL on Saturday, the Portage Terriers got their first win in the series with the OCN Blizzard. The Terriers scored three goals in the third period to come from behind in a 3-2 win. The Terriers out shot the Blizzard 42-33 in front of 1,320 fans in Portage. In the Addison Division Final, the Southeast Blades took a 2-1 series lead with a 4-3 win over the visiting Winnipeg South Blues. The power play was working for the Blades, who scored two of their goals on four power plays, while the Blues were held scoreless on five tries. Suspension Centerman Dustin Bru has been placed under indefinite suspension as a result of the Match penalty he received for contacting an official during the game in North Battleford on March 19 against the Humboldt Broncos. Bru has been the leading scorer for the North Stars in the playoffs this year, with seven goals and five assists in six games, for 12 points and 39 penalty minutes.
