Montreal - About 450 police officers raided dozens of homes in three Quebec cities early Wednesday and charged 30 people with drug-related offences. Several hours later, the joint task force of RCMP, Quebec provincial and municipal police announced it had dismantled a ring they say was trafficking drugs including cocaine and methamphetamine. Police said some of those arrested are linked to criminal organizations. But Prime Minister Paul Martin indicated he had not yet decided whether Canada would participate in the proposed U.S. anti-ballistic missile shield. New U.S. ambassador Frank McKenna. said Tuesday that Canada was already taking part in the U.S. program because it agreed that Norad could monitor the skies for incoming missiles.
