Winnipeg - A sold-out crowd packed MTS Centre in Winnipeg Tuesday night for the gala opening concert for the new downtown arena. While musical luminaries such as Chantal Kreviazuk, Randy Bachman, Burton Cummings, Tom Cochrane, Doc Walker and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra brought star power to the stage, it was the MTS Centre itself that drew the most praise. Concertgoers were especially enthusiastic about the acoustics in the new facility and the comfort of the seating.
