Regina - Officials from Saskatchewan's Child Protection Branch have removed the five remaining children from the home of a little girl who disappeared more than two weeks ago. Five-year-old Tamra Keepness disappeared from her home the night of July 5. Despite an extensive search, police have been unable to find her. No reason has been given for the removal of the children. Police are trying to find out more about what happened in the home that night. Montreal - A Quebec woman has died and five others have been hospitalized after handling ground beef contaminated with the E. coli bacteria, public health officials say. The woman, who was in her 80s, died after eating the meat purchased in a supermarket in Ste-Eustache, Que., located north of Montreal. The woman was one of six people hospitalized in the Lower Laurentians region since the beginning of the month, health officials said. Ottawa - Ottawa and the provinces will spend three days discussing the future of health care, beginning Sept. 13 in Ottawa, Prime Minister Paul Martin said Wednesday. Martin said the health-care conference will be televised. "It will be an open meeting. It will be as transparent as possible." The prime minister made health care his key campaign issue, pledging a five-year, multibillion-dollar plan to reduce wait times, train new doctors and create a national home-care program.
