Burlington, Ont. - Two teenagers turned themselves in to police after a playground in Burlington, Ont., was booby-trapped with shards of glass. Halton Regional Police charged one of the two Burlington teenagers with mischief. The other is considered a witness, but police said they expect to make more arrests and lay more charges. Shards of glass were found on the weekend, glued to slides and on top of monkey bars in the city's Desjardines Park. The two teens, ages 14 and 15, arrived at a police station with their parents to turn themselves in. No injuries resulted from the booby-trapped playground equipment. Toronto - The video game industry and governments across the country want to get violent video games such as Grand Theft Auto or Manhunt out of children's X-Boxes and Play Stations. A countrywide initiative has begun. Despite a voluntary ratings system, increasing numbers of young children are playing video games that depict graphic violence and sex out of sight of their parents. The Ontario government, for one, is looking at a mandatory rating system that would levy hefty fines for retailers that don't check identification. Halifax - Transportation Safety Board officials have begun investigating what caused a Boeing 747 cargo plane to crash while leaving the Halifax airport early Thursday, killing all seven crew members on board.
