Vancouver - Vancouver Canucks star Todd Bertuzzi was charged Thursday with assault causing bodily harm. Prosecutors charged Bertuzzi after an alleged on-ice attack against Steve Moore of the Colorado Avalanche in March. After the incident, the NHL suspended Bertuzzi for the rest of the season, including the playoffs. Bertuzzi is to appear in provincial court July 9. Wetaskiwin, Alta.- Police in Alberta say they have found the remains of another woman in a field south of Edmonton. The discovery comes just a week after police declared a multiple killer may be involved in the deaths of a number of sex trade workers. Winnipeg - The case against five Winnipeg men with connections to the Hells Angels came to an abrupt end on Thursday when the Crown asked that charges be stayed after it lost confidence in its key witness. One member and four associates of the Hells Angels gang are free, after more than two years behind bars. They faced 36 charges including attempted murder, firebombing and witness intimidation. The Crown decided to drop the case after its key witness made demands in exchange for his testimony.
