Athens - Greek officials say three pre-dawn bomb blasts in Athens on Wednesday are "isolated incidents" and not connected to the upcoming Olympics. The explosives went off outside a police station. The first blast was preceded by an anonymous phone call to a newspaper and was followed by two other explosions. No one has claimed responsibility. "This É does not affect whatsoever the country's preparations for the safety of the Olympics," Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis told reporters. Minsk, Belarus - A woman believed to be the oldest person in the world has celebrated her 116th birthday in Belarus. "I'm tired of living already, but God still hasn't collected me," said Hanna Barysevich, who lives outside the capital, Minsk, with her 78-year-old daughter. Barysevich's passport says she was born on May 5, 1888. London - Britain and the United States are discussing the possibility of sending more British troops to Iraq, Prime Minister Tony Blair said on Wednesday. "In respect of any additional troops that may be required, we are in discussion with our coalition partners, and the Americans, at the present time about the possibility of providing more troops for different parts of the country," Blair said in the House of Commons. Britain has about 7,500 soldiers stationed in southern Iraq. Last month, Spain withdrew its 1,300 soldiers.
