Fox, who shot to stardom for playing an uptight young Republican in the 1980s television series Family Ties, is now starring in an election campaign for U.S. Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry. Kerry has promised to "lift the ideologically driven restrictions on stem cell research" if he wins the upcoming presidential election.
