A packed Hapnot Collegiate gymnasium was all jazzed up Wednesday evening as the high school students presented their Jazz Concert. Seated at round tables, the crowd of mainly parents and friends enjoyed the young musiciansÕ rich talent along with a delicious dessert. Pictured, Katie Garinger leads the choir in a stirring rendition of The Beatles classic, There Are Places. Tomorrow promises to be another treat for music lovers with the Flin Flon Arts Council and the Flin Flon Community Choir hosting a cross-cultural event at the Grand Tipi in Cranberry Portage. The event will include the premiere of three musical compositions, two by Flin FlonÕs Mark Kolt and the other by WinnipegÕs Jim Hiscott.
