The SJHL recently released its 2005-06 schedule for both the pre-season and regular season action. The Flin Flon Bombers will kick off their pre-season games on Thursday, September 1, when they travel to La Ronge to play the Ice Wolves. The next day, Friday, September 2, the Bombers will lace them up at the Whitney Forum as they host the OCN Blizzard. The Bombers and OCN will meet again, this time in The Pas on Saturday, September 3. The remainder of the pre-season matches sees Flin Flon at Swan Valley on Wednesday, September 7, then back home for two final games Ñ against La Ronge on Friday, September 9 and Nipawin on Saturday, September 10. The regular season for the SJHL starts September 16th with 10 of the 12 teams in action. In all, each team will play 55-games (26 at home, 26 on the road, 3 at September Showcase). The Bombers' first regular season game is set for Friday, September 16 when they visit La Ronge. The Ice Wolves will return the favour when they travel to the Whitney Forum on Sunday, September 18, which is the season opener for the local fans. The SJHL September Showcase will take place in Saskatoon from Thursday, September 22 through Sunday, September 25. Flin Flon will play three games at the Showcase. Looking towards the end of the schedule, the Bombers will round off the season by playing their final home game on Saturday, February 6 against La Ronge, and then complete their season on Tuesday, February 14 when they travel to Nipawin to play against the Hawks.
