A badly injured man was rescued by a First Nations Police tracking dog over the weekend. Virden RCMP were investigating a report on August 10 at around 3 a.m. of three men assaulting a fourth man who was bleeding from his face and forehead.
Officers arrested the three men but couldn't find the injured one, so they called in the K-9 unit from Manitoba First Nations Police Service. Ceto and his handler tracked the victim's scent about 200 metres through the bush and along a river.
