Two silvers for Hapnot wrestlers at recent tournament

Hapnot Collegiate’s wrestling team came away from a recent tournament with encouraging results.

The Kings wrestling club, represented by athletes Kyle Gurniak and Maguire Lee reached the podium at the recent Scratch and Claw tournament hosted by Warman High School.

Competing in the Novice 79 to 82 kilogram division, Gurniak grabbed silver, while Lee, the younger brother of wrestling standouts Carson and Hunter Lee, earned a silver medal in the Elite 82 to 86 kilogram category. Both athletes reached the gold medal matches for their divisions, but ultimately lost.
