The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Head Office has issued the following suspensions: La Ronge Ice Wolves head coach Bob Beatty is suspended for one game (December 29) and fined $200 for receiving a gross misconduct at the end of the Dec. 17 game against the Battlefords North Stars.Ê Furthermore, the Ice Wolves and Stars are both fined $100 for having players fight at the conclusion of the game.Ê Both clubs are warned any future similar conduct will result in additional penalties. Estevan Bruins defenseman Kyle Lundale and Notre Dame Hounds forward Wahsontio Stacey are each suspended for two games as a result of an incident during warm-up prior to their game on December 19.Ê According to the referee report, Lundale flipped a puck into the Hound end and hit Stacey in the leg.Ê He retaliated with a slash across the top of the skate.Ê Words were exchanged, but nothing further developed. The SJHL has a rule requiring teams to respect a 10-foot buffer zone on either side of the center ice red line that both teams must stay out of during the warm up.Ê Players engaging in intimidating words or gestures are subject to a possible gross misconduct and disciplinary action.
