The winner of this year’s CFAR Million Dollar Hole in One event is Brett Muench.

The first round of the event took place at the Phantom Lake Golf Course driving range, with the competition moving to the course’s ninth hole for the finals and million dollar round.

In the finals, the golfer whose ball finished closest to the hole would win the event. It was Muench who came the closest, putting a ball just over eight feet away from the hole, getting him the title against Shawn Fraser and Rick Hall.

That led to the million dollar round, where each participant received one ball to shoot. If any of the players managed to hit a hole in one on that shot, they would have a chance to win $1 million.

Neither Fraser, Hall or Muench could come close on the money shot, with the closest ball coming within 47 feet of the hole.

Throughout the week-long event, six golfers hit holes-in-one during qualifying – Jeff Boismier, Casey Crone, La Verne Hinzman, Jason Mucha, Brenda Russell and Merle Sproxton.

Muench received a complimentary flight from Calm Air for winning first prize.
