One of Mexico’s finest and most decorated luchadors will be making a stop in Creighton at the Community Centre Nov. 9 as a part of Canadian Wrestling's Elite (CWE) “The Juice is on the Loose” tour.

Juventud Guerrera, who has won belts in the former WCW and WWF and in Mexico and Japan, will be teaming up with "Gunner" Gatlin Church to take on the two-time CWE tag team champions "The Canadian Crusher" AJ Sanchez and "The Boston Bruiser" Kevin O'Doyle.

Also appearing on the card will be Pukatawagan-raised Shadow Xtreme, taking on "The Headline" Shaun Martens.

The CWE Canadian Unified Junior Heavyweight Championship will be on the line when champion Angel Dorado takes on the challenger Damon Spriggle.

There will also be a women’s match, as "The Queen Of Mean" Persephone Vice will take on "The Masterpiece Of The East" Alix Zwicker.

Also appearing will be two CWE originals. Four-time CWE champion "Hotshot" Danny Duggan will take on one half of the current CWE tag team champions, "The Zombie Killer" Mentallo.

Daniel Warren, who performs as Danny Duggan, is also promoting the show and promises two-hours of hard-hitting, family friendly, action.

“We're very excited to bring [Guerrera] across Canada,” he said. “It's gonna be his first time seeing the country. He’ll probably be a little bit soft, coming from Mexico to Canadian winter, but that seems to be part of the fun of bringing American and Mexican wrestlers up to Canada for the first time.”

The last time professional wrestling came to the area was over a year ago, when CWE made a tour stop in Flin Flon. Warren said this will be CWE’s biggest tour yet, with stops in B.C. and Ottawa over 31 days.

Warren said CWE has started to bring in more lucha stars over the past few years, working with Psicosis and Konnan making appearances in the company over the past few years.

“With Lucha Underground and other companies like All Elite Wrestling (AEW) promoting luchadors in the main events of their programs, it’s really opening a lot of people's eyes to that style of professional wrestling,” he said.

CWE’s touring schedule is unique. Very few companies across the world run tours with 31 events in 31 days, making CWE a destination for wrestlers from around the world.

“Not even WWE run 31 events in a row,” he said.

“There's nowhere else in the world right now that runs that aggressive touring schedule. There is usually a few days on, then two days off. With the logistics of Canadian geography, it’s just not financially viable to do that. We have to string it all together, do it in one shot.”

Warren, a lifelong pro wrestling fan, has rediscovered his love for the form in the past month.

“I've been a wrestling fan my whole life and, in recent years, I haven't been so thrilled with the product. It’s not that it's been bad, it's just not been my cup of tea,” he said.

“I went from being somebody that used to watch wrestling religiously, but in recent years, I couldn't tell you the last time I watched a weekly wrestling program. I've watched more wrestling in the last month and a half than I have in probably the last five years.”

Tickets for the show are available at the Flin Flon Aboriginal Friendship Centre or online at cwetickets.com. Doors open for VIP access at 6 p.m. with general admittance at 6:30 p.m. The opening bell is 7 p.m.
