A hard-fought Friday home game ended in disappointment for the Flin Flon Bombers.

Despite controlling offensive play for most of the game, the Bombers dropped a 4-2 decision to the Kindersley Klippers.

After a scoreless first period, Chrystopher Collin kicked the second off with his first goal of the season. Brandson Hein added his tenth goal of the season halfway through the period.

Austin Nault ruined Bomber goalie Pierce Diamond's shutout bid late in the period, capitalizing on a two-on-one.

In the third period, Nault added his second goal to tie the game. Two minutes later, Nate Keeley scored to give Kindersley the lead. The Bombers attempted to tie up the game late, even getting a six-on-four power play late after Diamond was pulled. Regardless, the Klippers held down the fort, with Kyle Bosch outworking Collin to get an empty-net goal with seconds left.

Diamond made 26 saves, while Klippers goalie Justen Close stopped 40 of 42 shots.

The two teams face off again at the Whitney Forum on Saturday night.
