The Flin Flon Bombers can't win them all - the club dropped a 4-2 home game to the Nipawin Hawks.

Before game time, the Bombers received some big news: forward Chrystopher Collin, the team's leading goal scorer from last season, rejoined the Bombers ahead of Friday's game. Collin had been attending training camp with the QMJHL's Acadie-Bathurst Titan but left the team.

Nipawin took control early, with Carson Ehrhardt capitalizing on a power play and Eric Sorensen adding another goal minutes later.

The Bombers did manage to tie the game in the second period, first with Vincent Nardone tapping in a pass from Brandson Hein, then with Caleb Moretz snapping a quick wrister past Hawks goalie Declan Hobbs. However, the tie wouldn't last long. Colton Nikiforuk beat debutant Bomber goalie Jacob Delorme with a shot from the right faceoff dot less than a minute after Moretz's goal. That goal would later prove to be the game winner.

Austen Flaman sealed the deal for Nipawin in the third period.

Hobbs earned his third win with 29 saves, while Delorme, playing his first career junior A game, took the L after a 30 save performance.

The Bombers and Hawks will hit the highway and head to Nipawin for a rematch Saturday night, before heading to Warman for the SJHL Showcase. The Bombers will finish off a four-game-in-five-days stretch with matches against Melville on Sept. 24 and Yorkton on Sept. 25 before coming back north for a four-game home stand.
