Add another one to the win column for the Flin Flon Bombers. They took down the rival La Ronge Ice Wolves 4-2 in the opening match of a home and home series Friday night.

Isaac Jackson grabbed the lead for the Bombers late in the first, with Donavan Houle-Villeneuve adding a supporting marker in the second. La Ronge got a goal courtesy of Jordan Mish and another later from Max Kleiner, but Vincent Nardone added the eventual game winner before Nate Hooper buried the winner in the third.

Pierce Diamond made 22 saves in a quiet night in the Bomber crease, while his La Ronge counterpart Daniel Davidson was shelled, making 38 saves.

The win pushes the Bombers to second in the Sherwood Division with 26 points, three points behind first-place Nipawin and four points behind league-leaders Humboldt.

SJHL scoring leader Brandson Hein earned an assist, continuing a 10 game point streak. In the past 10 games, Hein has 19 points, including 12 goals. Hooper's third period goal also extended his own point streak to eight games, during which he has tallied 21 points.

The two sides face off again in La Ronge on Saturday night.
