In a relationship since 2023 with actor Émile Ouellette, Catherine Brunet quietly announced her separation.
The actress was on the new podcast My famous friendsrecently launched by the three good friends Rémi-Pierre Paquin, David Savard And Pierre-François Legendre, and she revealed there that she was single.
At one point during the discussion, Rémi-Pierre Paquin asked her if she had friends who don’t work in the same industry as her, and Catherine admitted that it was sometimes difficult for her, having been an actress since the age of 4, to meet people outside of this circle, and that she had therefore turned to the dating application Hinge.
“I’m an old woman, I’ve never been single in this day and age (nowadays). I realize that I’ve been in the same environment for a million years, so everyone around me is in that environment… I felt like I had known everyone I needed to know. It seems like I don’t know how to meet people outside of my background. It is tough“, she said.
Without beating around the bush too much, Pierre-François Legendre, who noticed that Catherine had used the word single, asked his guest if she was in a relationship, to which the main interested party responded in the negative.
“No, well no. That’s why I brought up the subject of Hinge,” she simply let it go, without giving further details.
It was in November 2023 that we learned that Catherine Brunet was in a relationship with Émile Ouellette, an actor who you can see in Indomitable. The pair walked the red carpet at the show Whitehorseat the Jean Duceppe Theater, and then confirmed to our journalist the nature of their relationship.
At the start of this year, the one who will hit the road again next year for a second tour of the Quebec-Montreal play confided that they had recently moved in together.
