John Gidney of Flin Flon, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Born in Digby, NS, he was the son of the late William Gidney and Edith (Gidney) Trimper. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Lovette Trimper, son Jake, daughters Christina (Cori) Bangle and Lisa (Tyler Branconnier); his companion Kim Proctor and her children Drake & Kayla Lau; grandchildren Rio, Holden, & Kenya, brothers; Bill (Eleanor), Dick, Greg (Sandy), Ralph (Barb), Michael (Paula Currie), & Paul (Lola); his sisters Linda (Wendell) Gregory, Pamela Gidney & Susan Gavel and many nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his sister Edith and one in infancy. When Dad did something he did it whole-heartedly, when it came to loving his loved ones, hobbies or work, he never stopped. He will be greatly missed - he will always be in our hearts.
