Peacefully on January 25, 2015 Curtis passed away at St Andrews at Francis’s Place in Eureka, Missouri at the age of 47 years after a two year battle with cancer. He was comforted by his brother and sister who were by his side.

Curtis was born March 21, 1967 in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada to Wayne and Dorothy Chamberlin. He will be greatly missed by his three children, son Curtis and daughters Chloe and Ellie. His parents Wayne and Dorothy Chamberlin, sister Keri Robinson (Brent), brother and sister-in-law Patrick and Angie Chamberlin and nephews and nieces; Trevor, Megan and Marley Robinson and Tanner, Noah and Hudson Chamberlin and Aunts Earla Nichol and Merle Hook. He will also be remembered by his children’s mother Jeannine and his extended family the Kuepers and numerous friends who were by his side during his difficult battle. He was predeceased by his grandparents John and Gladys Thompson and Earl and Anne Chamberlin

Curtis left Flin Flon at the age of 15 to fulfill his dream of playing hockey in the big leagues. He played for many junior and semi professional teams throughout Canada and the United States. Curtis was also a very talented baseball player and when he wasn’t playing hockey you could find him on his field of dreams. His passion for baseball led him to coach and mentor many youth baseball teams in the Chesterfield area. Curtis’s passion for the sport was something that he was able to share with his son, and they could be found spending hours playing and practicing.

He moved to the Chesterfield, Missouri area in 1992 and until his passing this was his home. Curtis was a very determined, independent man who took any challenge on and viewed it as a competition. It didn’t matter how you finished as long as you gave it 110 percent and tried. He would give the shirt off his back and be right beside any family or friend in need.

Curtis’s family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to everyone who were by his side to fight this battle, especially Gale and Milly Hahn.

According to Curtis’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends to honour his memory.
