Make it two more COVID-19 cases in Manitoba. The total number of cases in the province has risen to 17, with the province confirming two more presumptive cases Wednesday evening.

Both cases are travel-related and involve people in Winnipeg - a woman in her 50s and a man in his 70s.

The province has opened up another testing site, a drive-thru location in Selkirk. The new testing area brings the total in Manitoba to nine, including the Selkirk site, four in Winnipeg and one each in Brandon, Flin Flon, The Pas, Thompson. All testing sites are by referral only and are not to be used as walk-in clinics.

In related health news, CancerCare Manitoba will be suspending breast cancer screening services at BreastCheck. Clients will be contacted if their appointment will be impacted. Hemodialysis patients will need to continue to go for dialysis tratements, with hospitals and dialysis units being given special attention to keep care safe.

Manitoba Conservation and Climate has closed all interpretive centres and cancelled all interpreter-led events in provincial parks as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.
