Man arrested in Flin Flon armed robbery

RCMP have arrested a Creighton man in connection to an armed robbery in Flin Flon.

Police were called to a business on Main Street in Flin Flon on Jan. 3 after receiving a report of a person entering holding a gun and wearing a mask. The suspect ordered an employee to open the cash register and fled the scene with money and two cases of beer.

RCMP arrested a 34-year-old man on Jan. 4. He faces six charges, including robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent to commit an offense, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm and failing to comply with probation.

Police are continuing an investigation into the robbery.

The man has been remanded into custody and was scheduled to make his first court appearance in The Pas on Jan. 7.
