RCMP in the northern Manitoba community of Oxford House are investigating the murder of a baby boy.
On Sunday, Jan. 31, a two-year-old boy was transported from Oxford House to a Winnipeg hospital. He was suffering from life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, Feb. 3, the child succumbed to his injuries. RCMP are treating his death as a homicide.
The boy’s name will not be released. The investigation is ongoing.
