Twelve more people in Saskatchewan have recovered from COVID-19.

A provincial government update released April 3 confirmed the new numbers, along with new cases from the disease. Fourteen new cases of COVID-19 have been reported throughout the province. In total, 220 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, with 48 of those people having now recovered. Three people in the province have died from the disease.

The number of cases in the "far north" region remains at three, while 42 cases are from the area considered "north" by the province.  Creighton, Denare Beach, Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay, Deschambault Lake and other communities near Flin Flon are considered to be in the "far north".

Just under half of all cases - 102 out of 220 - are related to travel. 52 cases, including several cases from a snowmobile rally and dinner, are considered "community contacts" cases. Ten have no know cause or exposure, while the rest of the cases are being investigated.

Overall province-wide test numbers for COVID-19 in Saskatchewan have passed 12,000 - 12,112 tests have been performed as of April 3.

An employee at a Regina-area assisted living facility has tested positive for COVID-19, but there is currently no suspicion that the employee may have transferred the disease to patients.
