A summary of police calls from April 5-11, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP. April 5 Report of a snowmobile crash on a lake. A person was taken to hospital for non-serious injuries.

A summary of police calls from April 5-11, as submitted by Flin Flon RCMP.

April 5

Report of a snowmobile crash on a lake. A person was taken to hospital for non-serious injuries. It was later determined the crashed snowmobile had been reported stolen earlier. The person was later treated medically but was too intoxicated to care for themselves, therefore they were arrested and lodged. The matter is under investigation.

Report of a disagreement between two intoxicated people in a residence. Police attended and found one of the arguers was walking away from the residence. That person was offered a ride home and graciously accepted.

April 6

Report of a theft from a local hardware store days prior. Matter is under investigation.

Report of a person leaving the hospital and telling staff they were going to drink behind the hospital. Police made patrols, but it appeared the person had made idle threats.

Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a residence despite being asked to. Police attended and found the person still on scene. The person was arrested and lodged.

April 7

Report of an intoxicated person in a residence and the other resident wanted them removed. Police attended and found the original subject of complaint was now sleeping. The complainant agreed they could sleep it off.

Report of an intoxicated person allegedly kicking people in a residence. Police attended and found no assault took place and that the kick was actually a person being moved across the floor in a sweeping motion.

Report of person stealing liquor from the liquor store. Matter is under investigation.

Report of a person needing to be transported to The Pas psychiatric unit. Transport completed.

Report of an intoxicated couple fighting in a residence. Police attended and found the fight was only verbal. The quarrelling couple was arrested and lodged.

Report of a dog barking outside and the complainant was concerned as it was snowing. The dog was clearly having a “ruff” night.

Report of a verbal disagreement between a couple in a residence. Police attended and arrested and lodged the aggressor.

Report of a person calling 911 asking for help, then disconnecting. Ambulance attended and determined police were not needed.

April 8

911 hang up call from a local health centre. Police attended and found there was no emergency.

Report of a person going through cardiac arrest. Police and EMS attended and provided CPR but the person passed away. The investigation revealed nothing suspicious.

Report of a person waving their arms around on the street.

Report of an assault between two parties. One intoxicated person was taken into custody. Investigation revealed that this was a consensual fight and no charges will be laid.

Report of an intoxicated person passed out in an ATM vestibule. Police attended and found the person as described, who was arrested and lodged.

Report of an intoxicated person inside a residence trying to fight people within. Police attended and found the person inside, intoxicated and angry. The person was arrested and lodged.

Report of a person refusing to leave a residence despite being told to. Police attended and found the subject of complaint was not doing anything and it was actually the complainant who was causing issues. However, the complainant was now asleep, therefore police left.

April 9

Report of a parking complaint, however when police called the complainant back, the issue had resolved itself.

Report of a brouhaha involving multiple people fighting. Police attended and located one person still on scene who was arrested and lodged.

Report of a disagreement between roommates where one was playing music loudly. Police advised the music aficionado to turn the music down.

Third party complaint of an assault. Police attended and spoke to everyone involved and determined that no assault took place.

April 10

Report of an intoxicated person having assaulted someone. Police attended and located the subject of complaint who was arrested and lodged. The complainant did not want the person charged.

Report of a loud party. Police attended and found two sober people sitting around listening to music.

Report of suspicious activity as a person thought a garage was being broken into. Police attended but could not locate any evidence to support that theory.

Report of a truck being vandalized sometime overnight.

Report of a person intentionally coughing towards an employee when the employee had to turn the customer away. Matter is under investigation.

Report of an intoxicated person trashing a residence and challenging people to a fight. Police attended and located the subject of complaint still inside the residence. The person was arrested and lodged as they are on conditions to abstain from alcohol. The person was released to appear in court at a future date.

Report of an unwanted guest who did not get the hint they were not wanted. They eventually did get the hint and left.

Report of a structure fire to a residence. Police and fire attended and deemed the fire non-suspicious.

Report of a loud party in a garage. Police attended and found all occupants in the garage were residents and they were asked to turn the music down.

Report of a person expressing ideations of self-harm online. Police located the poster who was asleep when police arrived.

April 11

Report of a person passed out in the middle of the street. Ambulance was on scene and when they approached the person they got up and ran away.

A person called from a medical facility advising they believe they left a door to their residence unlocked and requested police attend and lock the door.
