The total number of cases in Saskatchewan increased to 231, according to an update from the provincial government April 4. Over a hundred cases are suspected to be tied to travel, while 65 positive tests have been directly tied to community contact and mass gatherings. Investigations are ongoing into 47 separate cases.

Seven more people across the province have newly recovered from COVID-19 - 55 people in total have recovered since the outbreak began. Two of the three people diagnosed in the far north, the region that includes Creighton, Denare Beach, Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay and other nearby communities, have recovered.

No provincial health briefing was held Saturday. Provincial health officials, including Saskatchewan chief medical health officer Dr. Saqib Shahab, will continue holding public briefings April 6.
