Northern Physical Activity Month was a big hit in Creighton as students participated in a variety of activities over the course of their lunch hours. Creighton Community School and the Town of Creighton paired together to help promote physical activity to the students. Over the course of a week, activities were planned in hopes of generating inspiration to to be physically active. Students were able to participate in activities like kite making, a community walk, a sock hop and an activity melt down Ð which gave the students some free time as well as structured activities. Channa Senyk, the Recreation Director for the Town of Creighton, and Courtney Whitmore, the Creighton Community School Recreation Coordinator, presented prizes to a few students earlier this week for their participation in the events.
