Brenda Russell returns a serve at a pickleball game held at the Flin Flon Community Hall earlier this month. Seven locals came out to play the unique racquet sport, which combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Participant La Verne Hinzman said newcomers are encouraged to come out and try the sport, with racquets and balls supplied. Flin Flon Recreation is organizing pickleball game nights on most Tuesdays and Thursdays in May and June from 7 to 9pm. There is a small drop-in fee to play.
