Paul Haugen Paul Haugen of Flin Flon passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 at the age of 77 years. Paul was born at the HBM&S Company Hospital May 10, 1931, to parents Margaret and Olaf Haugen. He lived at his cabin at Big Island Lake and home at 93 Green Street. Paul served in the Korean War. On December 9, 1961, he married Mildred A. Jacobson. He worked at HBM&S until his retirement in 1987. Paul was a true outdoorsman. He attended the First United Lutheran Church and was a Legion and AA member. Paul was predeceased by his father Olaf in 1962, brother Harry in 1991, and mother Margaret in 1993. He is survived by his wife Mildred; daughters Karen (Dale) Buick, Myra (Kevin) Garrett; grandchildren Michelle (Chad) McIntosh, Michael Kryschuk, Mark Kryschuk, Trevor Buick, Travis Buick; great grandchildren Megan and Mason McIntosh. Funeral services for Paul Haugen were held Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the First United Lutheran Church, with Pastor Rebecca Graham officiating. Active pallbearers were Michael and Mark Kryschuk, Bob Gauthier, Ken Highmoor, Rod Bilitsky, and Darryl Ferber. Honourary pallbearers were all who care. Ushers were Vic Pardoski and Harley Evans. Memorial register attendant was Travis Buick. Following interment at Ross Park Cemetery, lunch was served by the Lutheran Church Women at the First United Lutheran Church. If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made to the First United Lutheran Church, 20 Second Avenue, Flin Flon, Manitoba R8A 1G5.
