Gerald Stanley Norman Hughes February 11, 1949 - February 24, 2004 With hearts full of sorrow we announce the passing of our father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend Jerry (Gerald) Stanley Norman Hughes who passed away peacefully at home in Snow Lake, Manitoba on Tuesday, February 24, 2004. Jerry moved to Snow Lake in 1996 and had been employed at the New Britannia Mine for eight years. He enjoyed carpentry, classic cars, and he had a huge collection of books which he very much enjoyed reading. He was an avid learner and enjoyed taking a variety of different courses throughout the years. Jerry was predeceased by his parents Norman and Yvonne, and by two brothers-in-law Norman MacDonald and Gordon Bouzane. Jerry is survived by his son Leon of Rainy River, ON, two daughters; Nanette (Dan) Drellack of Warroad, MN and Dawn Marie Ivall of Rainy River, ON, five brothers; Dave of Winnipeg, MB, Jimmy of Dryden, ON, Art of Flin Flon, MB, Randy of Winnipeg, MB, and Bill of Snow Lake, MB, two sisters; Linda MacDonald of Dryden, ON, and Donna Bouzane (Bruno DeNicola) of Toronto, ON, two granddaughters; Mellissa and Brianna and one grandson Skyler, and by several nieces. A Visitation for the late Jerry Hughes was held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the St. James Anglican Church on Monday, March 1, 2004. Funeral services for the late Jerry Hughes were held on Monday, March 1, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. James Anglican Church in Rainy River with Father Wayne McIntosh officiating. Pallbearers were Dave Hughes, Art Hughes, Randy Hughes, Bill Hughes, Richard Drennan and Shawn Dobransky.
