Elly has always had a keen interest in arts and culture, however, in her second year of university, it became clear that she would never be a performer, so off to nursing school she went. After many years of supporting the arts through season ticket purchases she arrived in Flin Flon and got the opportunity to put her mouth where only her money used to be.

She is a board member of the Flin Flon Arts Council and attends almost every performance in town.
