The sweet taste of Blueberry Jam seems to have reached across the Atlantic.
More than 70 separate acts are now confirmed to be playing at this summer’s Blueberry Jam Musical Gathering according to organizers. Among them is Manchester, UK-based musician Holly Rees.
Rees, an indie singer-songwriter who will play Blueberry Jam in the midst of a Canadian tour, joins an ever-growing list of performers. That list now includes fan favourites like the No Name Band, Janève Masson, CC Trubiak, Lyle Leclair, Big Shaker, High Noon, The Whyte, The Mix and others.
“The number of acts keeps increasing. We’re up above 70 now and I’m sort of pinching myself now,” said Mark Kolt, this year’s head of production for Blueberry Jam.
So many acts have already joined that Kolt said it’s proving difficult to keep the schedule coherent.
“I’m hoping we can still fit everybody in and keep roughly to the same format as last year. I think we can, but right now I’m fielding requests for rehearsals already with some of the acts I’ve been involved with from the outside,” he said.
