During a recent episode of his podcast WildmenDylan Sprouse said that while exploring his family tree using the Ancestry service, he came across information that completely destabilized him. According to his research, the families of both his parents were already linked well before their marriage.

The actor explains that the two branches of the family would have settled in California at the time of the gold rush in the 19th century. They would then have been united by marriage, then separated over the generations before being reunited again when her parents, Matthew Sprouse and Melanie Wright, married without knowing this ancestral link.

It was when Dylan Sprouse noticed the significant presence of numerous twins in his family tree that he began to ask questions. He claims to have discovered no fewer than seven sets of twins across four generations on his mother’s side, before learning that identical twins also existed on his father’s side.

This is why, with humor, Dylan Sprouse said: “In short, Cole and I are children of incest. “. The joke may remain light, but the web didn’t take it that way.

The Riverdale actor had two reactions to his image. A first when his brother sent him the results of research concerning his family: he didn’t want to look at all that.

A second reaction was shown to the world on social media with a story stating “No media training on earth can prepare you to read this type of clickbait headline at 10am”.

Dylan, the instigator of this controversy, shared the same publication, this time with a more humorous tone. “No lie, they rocked with this title.”

“I print it out and hang it above my marriage bed.”

Two brothers, two very unique reactions.
