Since Sunday October 11, viewers of Everyone is talking about it are divided. Some are delighted to have seen JNT and Ariane in prime time to talk about religion for Clément Hamelin’s documentary, while others are stunned by the clear-cut comments made.
The Christian influencer spoke once again, on his personal YouTube channel, in connection with the interview and the opinions he expressed. The video is in the form of a discussion with his accomplice, also a Christian, Thien Li Minh, and lasts almost an hour.
In this discussion, JNT admits that a part of him is insensitive to the reality of others. During the discussion, he is realistic about the fact that his way of communicating things was not the right one, and that he was not necessarily well prepared for this interview. He is firm in his ways of thinking, but he does not hide the fact that it could have been done differently.
“I think it’s good that there are people trolling me and laughing at me, I don’t take it badly,” he said.
“I think God has completely blinded me to how Everyone is talking about it It’s big, or I’m the one who’s ignorant to see,” he admits, not really knowing what he’s getting himself into.
In the content creation he does, particularly with the podcast For Realwhich he co-hosts with Emanuel Ouellet, alias Manny, JNT explains that he does not receive as much feedback on his comments, while the Sunday evening show was a real bomb.
JNT also emphasizes the fact that sexual orientation and abortion are not subjects he thinks about in his daily life, even if these are the avenues towards which the interview was directed at TLMEP.
In his most shocking, but also confusing, comments, the influencer said that “if you are homosexual, and you have a business, I still think you should invest in a premium website. That’s good because at my company JNT production.com we make the best websites in Quebec.”
In its summary video, JNT indicates that marketing leaders in Quebec welcomed this bold move, just as others strongly criticized it. He considers himself somewhere in between on the issue, either that he was able to promote his company in prime time, but that the way of doing it was extremely clumsy.
JNT accomplice Thien maintains that all this controversy is doing the work of spreading the gospel message in Quebec.
With the transition of the trio to Everyone is talking about it and the controversy that snowballed, the documentary will be viewed by a lot of people.
Whether or not we believe in a higher entity, JNT seems very satisfied to have been able to experience this moment, but he is aware that certain things could have been done differently. “I was insensitive,” he said.
