Last Sunday, the popular show Tout le monde en parole hosted Clément Hamelin as well as Jérémy-Noah Thériault (JNT) and Ariane Malenfant for the documentary Make some noise for Jesus.

The documentary, now available on various platforms, is a long-term work for Clément Hamelin, who sought to understand the rise in popularity of religion among young people, particularly with the story of the man who did a 180 in his life, JNT.

The trio took their place on the set of the Sunday show and were questioned about abortion and homosexuality, with clear-cut answers that were beyond comprehension for many. The guests were heavily criticized after their visit, notably by Karl, who could not hold back his words.

“How is it that we let people in prime time, on the most watched show, say that homosexuality is a sin, and that there is no one around the table who reacted more than that? », asks Karl.

“It hurts me inside to know that it’s possible to go on TV and say that. »

Karl expresses his fear that such comments can affect young people who are looking for themselves. He wonders, among other things, why this type of message is said during prime time, while LGBTQ+ voices have almost no space.

“What does this do to young people from diverse backgrounds, and then what does it do to our schools? »

“It really scares me, all of this,” he expresses.

Karl’s message was relayed by several Internet users, therefore Quebec personalities. Words that must resonate.
