The terrible tragedy affecting Karine also affected the public, who donated to ease the financial worries of the couple grieving their baby, Charles. Karine wanted to share with people how the donations would be distributed.
Karine makes some publications and stories on social networks, a way for her to weather the storm. She also has an entourage who takes care of her and Nicolas, her partner. She announced that her family pooled money to offer Karine and Nicolas a trip to take care of them and get a change of scenery.
Karine is clear, the money from the GoFundMe is not used in their escapade. She laid out the action plan with the donations that were made:
1 – Pay Nicolas’s expenses. Self-employed, musician, he is not entitled to bereavement benefits. Karine denounced this situation to the party leaders who are currently campaigning provincially.
2 – Pay the expenses of Karine, also self-employed. Karine currently has benefits as a mother, but she does not know when she will be able to resume contracts and work, as a bereaved person.
3 – Pay for psychology appointments.
4 – Donate to research so that situations like theirs happen less.
5 – If possible, open a special account for Charles’ future brothers and sisters, a gift from him to them.
