Sad news shakes the world of My Life with the Walter Boys. Jesikah Suggs, screenwriter, story editor and co-producer of the popular Netflix series, died at the age of 32, sometime after the release of the third season.
According to his family, who confirmed the news to the media DeadlineJesikah Suggs died on August 18 at her home in Studio City, California. She had been battling breast cancer for eight years, having been diagnosed when she was just 24 years old.
Jesikah Suggs had an important place behind the cameras of My Life with the Walter Boys. She had initially worked as a story editor in the first season, before becoming a co-producer for the second and third seasons. She had also started working on the scripts for the fourth season before her death.
Before working on the popular Netflix series, Jesikah Suggs had notably contributed to productions like Parenthood, As We See It And It’s Not Like That. She had studied film in Texas, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the industry.
Jesikah Suggs was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, when she was in her early 20s. Despite the numerous treatments she had to undergo, she continued to pursue her career in the television industry.
The series My life with the Walter Boys will continue, in all likelihood, even if Jesikah’s pen is extinguished.
