The story wasn’t the same for Snow Lake’s Joseph H Kerr. JHK’s Kyla Spruyt and Gregory Carswell are now on their way to provincials after earning a victory in the junior varsity mixed doubles draw. They defeated RD Parker Collegiate’s Brandi Jenkins and Kale Mayor in the tournament final.

Seventeen schools sent athletes to the tournament. Grand Rapids School boasted the most winners with four gold medals. Margaret Barbour Collegiate and RD Parker each earned two golds, with Churchill’s Duke of Marlborough School winning one.

Provincials will be held in Brandon May 5 and 6.
