The Flin Flon AA midget Bombers played in the Warman Tournament November 24-26 This tournament had two pools of three teams. Flin Flon would be in a pool with the La Ronge Ice Wolves and Saskatoon Red Wings. The second pool had the Warman Wild Cats, Prince Albert Sharks and Saskatoon Barons. The Bombers' first game was against the Saskatoon Red Wings at 8 a.m. Saskatoon opened the scoring at 14:40 of the first period. Before the first was over, the Bombers took a 2-1 lead on goals from Jason Fehr and Nick Hamilton with Nick assisting on Jason's goal. The only goal of the second period was scored by the Red Wings. The third period started with Saskatoon taking a 3-2 lead. Flin Flon would tie the score at 13:19 on a goal from Warren Beatty assisted by Brennan Beatty. The Bombers took the lead again with 6:36 left in the third on a goal by Brad Simon assisted by Tom Barr and Derrick Beatty, but then Saskatoon tied it again at the 5:17. The Bombers then took the lead again with 4:39 left in the third with a goal from Landon Row assisted by Tom Barr. The tying goal from Saskatoon came with 3:51 left and then the winning goal would come with 2:05 left in the game. The final was 6-5 Saskatoon. The hockey gods were looking down on the Saskatoon goalie as the Bombers would clank seven shots in the game off posts and cross bars. Game two had Flin Flon play the La Ronge Ice Wolves. Another hot goalie faced the Bombers, but was scored on in the first at 4:30 by Owen Woloshyn. La Ronge would tie the game at 3:46. Flin Flon took a 2-1 lead after the first from a Jason Fehr goal at 2:22 assisted by Nick Hamilton and Owen Woloshyn. The second period saw the Bombers outscore La Ronge 4-1 on two goals from Owen Woloshyn, Rudy Pegg and Nick Hamilton. Assists from Jason Fehr two, Brad Simon, Ryan Scott, Warren Beatty and Lyle Leclair. The third period would see the Bombers score two more goals to win 8-2. Scoring was from Landon Row and Brad Simon. Assists in the period came from Rudy Pegg, two and Lyle Leclair, two. Theo Sewap played goal the first game against the Red Wings, while Ryan Scott played against La Ronge. The Bombers played the Saskatoon Barons in the crossover pool system in the B side final. Theo Sewap started for the Bombers. This game was dominated by the Bombers. They came out hungry and played with a lot of passion for the puck. Owen Woloshyn would get the hat trick. Nick Hamilton would get one goal and three assists. Other goals came from Jason Fehr, Rudy Pegg, Brad Simon and Josh Beatty. Assists came from Rudy Pegg, two, Brad Simon, Landon Row and Brennan Beatty. Final score, Bombers 8-2. This year's Bomber team is led by captain Rudy Pegg with assistant captains being Mike Phair, Brad Simon and Owen Woloshyn. Goaltenders are Theo Sewap and Ryan Scott. The rest of the team consists of Lyle Leclair, Greg Kritzer, Tommy Barr, Jared Ballantyne, Emilio Roberts, Derrick Beatty, Josh Beatty, Brennan Beatty, Warren Beatty, Jason Fehr, Nick Hamilton and Landon Row. The coach this year is Devin Pfoh, with assistant coaches Greg Phair and Mark Kritzer.
