The Flin Flon Bombers proved revenge is a dish best served cold Saturday night with a 4-0 shutout win over the Nipawin Hawks. The Bombers avenged a loss to Nipawin on Feb. 14 with a solid 60-minute effort, ending with Zac Robidoux's fifth shutout of the season.

Greyson Reitmeier started the scoring for Flin Flon in the first period, followed by goals later on by Rylee Zimmer, Jason Lavallee and Brandon Lesko. Reitmeier, Lavallee and Eric Sinclair all finished the game with two points. Nipawin goalie Kristian Stead, who got a win in Nipawin's 7-3 win over the Bombers earlier this week, made 28 saves on 32 shots.

The win for the Bombers thickens the plot for the Sherwood Division pennant. While the Battlefords North Stars have already clinched the top spot in the league standings, both Flin Flon and Nipawin are in contention for both a division title and second place in the league.

The win gives Flin Flon a slight lead, with 75 points, compared to Nipawin's 73.

The Bombers have five games remaining on the season, including two games against last-place La Ronge. The Bombers will also play against Humboldt and Melfort, each more than 20 points behind Flin Flon in the standings. Meanwhile, the Hawks have six games left to play against harder competition, facing Melfort twice as well as Estevan, Battlefords and Humboldt.

The last game of the season for both teams may prove to be the most important yet - a tilt between the Bombers and Hawks at the Whitney Forum on Mar. 7.

The Bombers will play a pair of home games against Melfort and Humboldt on Feb. 24 and 25.
