Wednesday is Election Day in Creighton and Denare Beach

Polls open from 9 am to 8 pm • ID required to vote

Voters in Creighton and Denare Beach head to the polls Wednesday, Oct. 26, to elect new municipal councils and a new Creighton school board.

Polls in both communities will be open from 9 am to 8 pm local time. Voters are required to bring some type of identification, such as a driver’s licence or health card. If a voter does not have the proper ID, another voter may vouch for that person.

In Creighton, both polls will be based in the council chambers of the Town of Creighton office, 300 1st Street East.

Bruce Fidler will be acclaimed mayor of Creighton. Running for six spots on town council are Neal Andrusiak, Kory Eastman, Darren Grant, Dan Hlady, Barbara Johnstone, Jeff Lane, Shirley Owen and Colleen Stallard.

Creighton voters with questions may call the town office at 306-688-8253.

In Denare Beach, both polls will be based at the Denareplex, 1700 Wigwam Drive.

Carl Lentowicz and Paul Trottier are running for mayor. Running for six spots on village council are Jean Champagne, Dale Holmgren, Greg McBratney, Scott McCullum, Doug Schaff, Karen Thomson, Beverley Wheeler and Frank Wiegers.

Denare Beach voters with questions may call the village office at 306-362-2054.

Voters in both communities will also elect a new Creighton school board. Running for four spots are Raymond Biberdorf, Terry Brown, Donna Ferguson, Kelly Fidler and Dawna Rudd. Hermeline Fagnan will be acclaimed as the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation representative.
