Exploration at the Zoro lithium property continues to yield strong results, says the head of the company that owns the mineral prospect.

Far Resources recently announced assay results for 17 rock samples from the property, located outside Snow Lake, had been received from a laboratory.

“Our very busy field program at the Zoro lithium property continues to provide excellent assay results,” said Keith Anderson, president and CEO of Far, referring to results from a dyke swarm on the site.

Far said results have confirmed the presence of high-grade lithium assays in association with the dyke swarm.

Fieldwork also resulted in the discovery of an additional pegmatite dyke, the company said. Pegmatites are the primary source of lithium.

Anderson said the company looks forward to further assay results, from trench, pit and outcrop sampling in the area of four dykes on the property.

Preparations are now underway for a new exploration campaign at Zoro, including soil sampling and diamond drilling.

Far has applied for a permit to drill 700 metres of core to assess segments of a dyke where no modern drilling has taken place. Drilling is set for this month.

In areas of buried outcrop, soil surveys will search for the geochemical signatures of lithium-bearing pegmatite dykes.

Far hopes Zoro, located 10 km northeast of Herb Lake Landing, can be developed into a lithium mine.
