Flin Flon and Snow Lake will share in more than $2.5 million worth of provincially funded school upgrades.

The PC government announced last week it will fund roof replacements at Ruth Butts Community School in Flin Flon and Joseph H. Kerr School in Snow Lake.

Funding will also be provided for grooming rooms at Ruth Betts and École McIsaac School. These rooms include an accessible and private washroom and shower for students with special needs.

A provincial spokeswoman said funding for the four projects will total more than $2.5 million. Individual project costs were not released since the tendering process has not been completed.

The projects will conclude within six to
24 months following the awarding of tenders and start of construction, the spokeswoman added.

In total, the province is providing $53.7 million for 110 infrastructure renewal projects at schools across the province.
