Flin Flon’s own Ham Sandwich theatre troupe will hit the stage again soon – and they hope audiences will follow their breadcrumb trail.
Auditions for the group’s latest production, The (Almost) Totally True Story of Hansel & Gretel, have finished, and the cast will soon begin rehearsals.
The production, a comedic take on the classic Brothers Grimm tale, has a large cast, with 32 members each having key roles.
“I guess it’s a little big, but it all depends on the play,” said co-director Alain Lachapelle.
Lachapelle and co-director Leslie Fernandes will both be directing for the second time.
“We have a great crew assembled, and we have a great gang of people who’ll make sure we have a really good show,” said Lachapelle, adding, “This is our second time directing, so we’re feeling a little less nervous.”
The play will be performed Nov. 18 and 19 at the RH Channing Auditorium.
