A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Monday, Aug. 15 to Sunday, Aug. 21, as provided by the RCMP: Monday, Aug. 15 • Report of a car alarm going off at a residence.

A condensed summary of calls to the Flin Flon RCMP for the period of Monday, Aug. 15 to Sunday, Aug. 21, as provided by the RCMP:

Monday, Aug. 15

• Report of a car alarm going off at a residence. Shortly thereafter, a call was received of two youths being located in a shed and chased away. Extensive patrols were made, but the youths were not located.

• Report of a garage being entered sometime overnight. Alcohol and a knife were taken. Matter is under investigation.

• Report of a handicap parking permit being taken from a vehicle.

• Report of a break-and-enter to a garage in which a bike was stolen. Matter is under investigation. 

• Report of a large blue backpack being located on some rocks near a residence. Closer inspection revealed the backpack was actually a rock painted blue.

• Report of a garage being entered overnight. Alcohol was taken. 

• Report of a vehicle being broken into and money taken.

• Report of a vehicle being gone through. Items taken from the vehicle were recovered a short distance away.

• Report of an intoxicated male kicking at a female’s door. The male left prior to police arrival. 

• Report of an unwanted intoxicated male at a residence. The male was later located and found to be breaching court-imposed conditions. He was arrested, lodged and will be charged.

• Report of two persons attempting to break a window at a residence. Police attended and found no evidence to suggest this actually took place.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

• Report of a group of people attempting to get into a vehicle. Patrols were made and follow-up with the complainant revealed the people were just standing near a vehicle, not actually trying to get into it.

• Report of a group of males walking through people’s yards. When confronted, the males ran away. 

• Report of a male throwing a rock through a car window. The males knew each other and reparations were made in the form of cutting
the victim’s grass.

• Report of a male and female arguing with one another. Police attended and spoke to both parties, who did not want police to be involved, working out the matter on their own instead.

• Report of flashlights being located in a yard. 

• Report of pills being taken from an unlocked vehicle. 

• Report of an erratic driver who yelled at a person for confronting them on their poor driving. 

• Report of a possible break and enter when a person was observed taking wooden pallets from behind a business. Investigation revealed the male was allowed to have the pallets. 

Wednesday, Aug. 17

• Report of a break-and-enter to a garage. Cupboards and fridge were gone through but nothing appeared missing. 

• Report of a break-and-enter to a garage. Empty beer cans were taken.

• Report of a break-and-enter to a garage. A pellet gun and bearspray were taken. 

• Report of a break-and-enter to a residence. Nothing was taken.

• Report of a garage being broken into. Nothing was taken.

• Report of a garage being broken into. Nothing was taken.

• Report of a garage being entered. A blow-up flotation device was taken.

• Report of a garage being broken into. Several items were taken.

• Report of a vehicle being broken into. Keys, a knife, a diaper bag and identification were taken. 

• Report of a vehicle being keyed overnight.

• Report of a garage being broken into. Nothing was taken.

• Report of an unlocked vehicle having been gone through. Nothing taken.

• Report of a chainsaw, golf clubs and miscellaneous tools located behind a shed.

• Three people located sharing a bottle of mouthwash. They were arrested and lodged.

• While on patrol, a very intoxicated male was located on Main Street. He was arrested and lodged.

Thursday, Aug. 18

• Report of a group of youths hanging out at Rotary Park. Police spoke to the youths, who did not have anything suspicious in their possession.

• Report of a suspicious vehicle located outside a residence. Patrols made but the vehicle was not located.

• Report of youths listening to music on a sidewalk. Patrols made and the youths were not heard or seen.

• Report of males partying behind a business. Police found a group of people in the area, all of whom were sober.

• Report of a youth having been missing from Thompson nine days prior. The youth was quickly located and turned over to Child and Family Services.

• Report of a female providing personal bank info online then realizing this was a mistake. No money was exchanged and all necessary steps were taken to prevent any fraudulent activity.

• Report of a male having a mental health crisis. He was located and taken to hospital.

• Report of an intoxicated female having a mental health crisis. She was located and lodged pending a hospital referral when sober.

• Report of a female screaming from inside a residence. Police attended and learned the female had slammed her finger in a fridge.

Friday, Aug. 19

• Report from a concerned person of a dog having been mistreated. Police attended and found the dog to be in good health and good spirits.

• Report of an intoxicated male having hit the handicap access button at a business. He was later located and lodged due to his level of intoxication.

• Report of an intoxicated male bothering people at Flin Flon Public Library and then passing out inside. He was located as described, arrested and lodged.

• Report of an intoxicated male running around the train tracks flailing his arms. He was located, arrested and lodged.

• An off-duty Citizens on Patrol Program (COPP) member called advising of a disturbance near a residence. Police attended and learned the cause of the problem had left. 

• Report of an intoxicated female who keeps returning to local bar despite having been kicked out. She was not located. 

Saturday, Aug. 20

• Report of a group of kids checking out cars.

• Report of a female being chased in the parking lot of a bar. Police attended and spoke to the female, who was not concerned about what happened.

• Report of a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and a girlfriend. The girlfriend had punched the boyfriend in the nose and will therefore be charged with domestic assault.

• Report of a domestic assault between boyfriend and girlfriend. Matter is under investigation.

• Report of an intoxicated male sitting in the stairwell of a local service provider. Police attended and the male had left.

• Report of a male being assaulted by a female. The male did not want to press charges.

• Report of a male assaulting another male. Matter is under investigation.

Sunday, Aug. 21

• Report of an intoxicated male leaving a local bar in his vehicle. The vehicle was located and the male was arrested for impaired driving. He provided breath samples over three times the legal limit and will be charged accordingly.

• Report of a group of males on top of a garage. The males ran off when confronted. Matter is under investigation.

• Report of a male being sprayed with bear mace by an unknown person. Matter is under investigation.

• Report of a male and female arguing on the street. The female is bound by conditions not to have any contact with the male and will be charged accordingly.

• Report of a daughter assaulting her mother. The mother did not want charges laid.

• Report of a garage being broke into. Nothing taken but the would-be thieves left items behind.

• 911 call received to a residence. Police attended and believe a youth was trying to show off to her friends.

• Report of youths pushing each other in strollers uptown. The youths were too big for strollers, hence the issue.
